Good news for movie fans! Disney, the giant American animation studio, announced the release of several new films during its “D23” conference, which took place over three days in Anaheim, California. This conference takes place every two years and aims to celebrate the different worlds of Disney. 12,000 people attended! We tell you about the films that caught our attention. Buckle up and get your popcornbecause this is all very exciting!
30 years later
It was one of the biggest surprises of the evening! On the occasion of the 30the anniversary of the very first film Toy Story Next year, Disney and Pixar have announced the release of a fifth film. Absolutely no one expected it! The director Andrew Stanton will be in charge of the project and the story will be based on a “fight” between toys and technology. Andrew Stanton directed Finding Nemo And WALL-E. This 5e Toy Story looks very promising.
The Incredibles are back
Another exciting announcement: the return of Incredible. The superhero family will live a new adventure in a third film. It is not yet known when we will be able to see the Parr family in theaters again, but Disney is working on this project and intends to renew the success that had The Incredibles 2 when it was released in 2018. The film won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
The snow is not about to melt!
We already knew that Disney was probably working on the next film in the series. The Snow Queen. During the conference, this information was confirmed, and a third film should be released in 2027. But that’s not all! It was also revealed in the process that there would also be a fourth film!
Stitch is back!
Just before the conference ended, a character very familiar to Disney fans made a surprise appearance. While the Disney castle could be seen on the giant screen in the room, Stitch appeared on the screen and greeted the room. The fans present screamed with joy! Lilo and Stitch will live new adventures, but this time in live action and not in a cartoon.
We could continue writing for hours and hours because Disney has announced so many new projects. You would have thought it was Christmas! In addition to the new films I mentioned above, Disney has revealed the release of a Zootopia 2 and a new movie from the universe Star Wars which will be about the Mandalorian and Grogu. You know, Grogu, he’s the little green guy that many fans call “baby Yoda.”
All this is in addition to the other films that Disney had already announced a few months ago, such as Moana 2, Mufasa, The Fantastic Four or even the new one Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Sure, we’re excited about all these new movies coming out in theaters, but remember, we already wondered if it was a good idea to create movie sequels in one of our For or Against. We found that there were good arguments on both sides.
