Laval | Rosso Cielo: an option closer to Place Bell

Open since spring, Rosso Cielo is just a stone’s throw from Place Bell in Laval. In fact, from the top of its newly inaugurated terrace at 10e floor of the Marriott Courtyard hotel, you can see how ideal the place is to grab a bite to eat before a game or show.

We go back because the dishes by Thomas Gagliardi, a chef who arrived from Italy 12 years ago, are carefully prepared and offered at reasonable prices when you choose pasta or pizza. However, the latest addition to the Rosa group, which established its bases in Lanaudière about ten years ago, is above all an Italian grill, with no fewer than ten cuts of beef offered on the menu.

“We stand out with our typically Italian seasonings, we don’t just limit ourselves to preparing our meats with Montreal spices,” says executive chef and owner David Fuoco with a laugh. “For example, we serve them with our Italian chimichurri, with olive oil infused with rosemary and thyme, typical Italian flavours.”

Among the starters, don’t miss the homemade focaccia with bresaola and stracciatella – the creamy cheese comes from Fromagerie Fuoco in Saint-Lin–Laurentides according to a recipe developed by Jason Fuoco, David’s brother, in collaboration with Les Fromagers de La Table Ronde, in Sainte-Sophie.
