(Quebec) One person lost their life when a residence in Neuville, in the Capitale-Nationale region, was engulfed in flames on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday.
The fire broke out around 9 p.m. on Tuesday in this residence located on Route 138. The Sûreté du Québec then received information that a person, who was probably in the house when the fire broke out, was missing.
Around 5am on Wednesday, a body was discovered in the rubble. Identification procedures will have to be carried out to confirm that the victim is the person who was missing on Tuesday evening.
As of Wednesday morning, the cause of the fire was still unknown. Investigators and a fire scene technician from the Sûreté du Québec were dispatched to the scene to try to clarify the circumstances surrounding this event.
