Colonelle Films and Entract Films unveil this Wednesday the trailer for Vile & Miserablefirst feature film by Jean-François Leblanc (the web series Logging inthe short film Landgraves), based on a script he wrote with comic book author Samuel Cantin (Whitehorse).
Adaptation of the graphic novel by Samuel Cantin published by Pow Pow in 2013, Vile & Miserable stars Fabien Cloutier as Lucien Vil, a misanthropic demon who landed on Earth over 350 years ago and works in a used bookstore. Lucien’s destiny changes the day his boss Sylvie (Chantal Fontaine) tells him that he will have to work with a bookseller’s assistant, Daniel Lamontagne (Pier-Luc Funk), in anticipation of the bookstore’s expansion. Despite their differences, Lucien and Daniel become friends. Anne-Élisabeth Bossé, Alexis Martin and Éric Robidoux are also in the cast. Vile & Miserable will be released in February 2025.
