Woman seriously injured after being shot in the head by an arrow near Paris, three people arrested

A woman was seriously injured after being shot in the head with an arrow at her home in Villejuif in Val-de-Marne on the night of Sunday to Monday, France Bleu Paris reported on Tuesday 13 August, confirming information from BFMTV. The victim’s life is still in danger according to the latest news from the public prosecutor’s office. Following initial questioning, the investigation opened for “attempted murder by spouse” was reclassified as “attempted assassination”.

Three people were taken into custody on Monday in this case. The profile of the three suspects has yet to be specified. According to a judicial source at France Bleu Paris, the victim and the three people arrested are all adults and have intellectual disabilities. All four work in an ESAT, an establishment specializing in the employment of people with disabilities.

On Tuesday, the custody of the three suspects was extended, according to the public prosecutor’s office, which has entrusted the investigation to the Val-de-Marne judicial police. According to a judicial source, a psychological assessment has also been requested.
