In Germany, the Olympic party continues. Tenth in the ranking, with 32 medals including 12 gold, the German athletes were welcomed triumphantly in Cologne. According to Luka Martens, Olympic swimming champion for Germany, the night was short but the athletes were able to enjoy it. In the United Kingdom, the BBC reports that these games were spectacular.
In Italy, there was a rousing rhythm of songs with the success of the volleyball players to the tune of “Ti amo” and “Felicità” for the gold medal in judo. In Spain, the images of the closing ceremony of the games were used to open the newspaper. Fifteenth with 18 medals including five gold, the Spanish know that they can do better and are waiting for the Los Angeles games with a spirit of revenge.
