The biggest surprises of the evening came from Pixar Animation Studios. While Toy Story will celebrate its 30the anniversary next year, it was revealed that the fifth chapter will launch on June 19, 2026. Andrew Stanton, director of Finding Nemo and of WALL-Ewill lead the project, having also contributed to the previous four installments. This one will focus on the “battle” between toys and technology. Pixar’s artistic director, Peter Docter, also announced that Brad Bird will return to helm Incredibles 3.
In addition to joining the cast of another Pixar film, Elioexpected on June 13, 2025, actress Zoe Saldaña accompanied her colleague Sam Worthington and filmmaker James Cameron to reveal the title of the third Avatar, Fire and Ashwhich will be released on December 19, 2025.
Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsey Lohan will reprise their roles in Freakier Fridaycontinuation of Freaky Fridayreleased in 2003. The mother and daughter are now grandmother and mother and when the latter also becomes a stepmother, an improbable situation repeats itself.
Also announced were Zootopia 2for November 2025, Frozen IIIstill with Jennifer Lee at the helm, scheduled for 2027, as well as the confirmation of a fourth chapter, then a live-action version of Lilo & Stitchwhich will be released next summer.

The first trailer of Snow Whitea live-action and digital remake of the 1937 classic, was revealed to D23 audiences. Actresses Rachel Zegler (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes), who plays Snow White, and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), in the role of the Queen, were on hand for the occasion. It will be possible to see this adaptation by Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man), based on a screenplay co-written by Greta Gerwig (Barbie), on March 21.
Jeff Bridges, Greta Lee, Evan Peters and Jared Leto presented the first very intriguing images of Tron – Aresin which the latter plays the role of the antagonist who gives his name to the title. A sequel to the 1982 and 2010 films, Joachim Rønning’s feature film (Kon-Tiki, Maleficent – Mistress of Evil) will be set to the music of Nine Inch Nails — who are taking over from Daft Punk — and will be in theaters on October 10, 2025.
Director Jon Favreau and producer Dave Filoni have presented a promising preview of The Mandalorian and Groguin theaters in May 2026. Although it will be released several months earlier, on July 25, 2025, The Fantastic Four – First Steps was given only a montage of footage that resembled a 1960s documentary. That said, the video cobbled together by director Matt Shakman (WandaVision) has still raised our expectations.
New trailers for Moana 2 And Mufasadue out on November 27 and December 20 respectively, were also offered. A scene featuring a song composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda was also played for the assembled crowd. Additionally, new plot elements and Harrison Ford’s Red Hulk were revealed in an extended version of the trailer for Captain America – Brave New Worldin theaters on Valentine’s Day.
Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar series
British actor Jude Law compared the series Skeleton Crew has The Goonies and to AND.because it is told “from the point of view of children”. Set in the Star Wars universe, The Skeleton Squadin the French version, sees four young people who accidentally find themselves propelled into a journey through the galaxy far, far away. The episodes are directed by the talented Jon Watts, David Lowery, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, aka the Daniels, Jake Schreier, Bryce Dallas Howard and Lee Isaac Chung. The series will be released on Disney+ on December 3. We will have to wait until 2025 for the second season ofAndorbut it has been confirmed that Ben Mendelsohn and Alan Tudyk will reprise their roles from Rogue One.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has pleased fans of the series Daredevil originally presented on Netflix revealing images of the new version, Born Again. As dark and bloody as the original, it stars the same cast of Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Jon Bernthal.
Dominique Thorne, Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Regan Aliyah and Alden Ehrenreich were also on hand to promote the release ofIronheart next year. Produced by Ryan Coogler (Black Panther), it follows the adventures of young inventor Riri Williams, seen in Wakanda Forever. A new trailer forAgatha All Alongavailable on Disney+ on September 18, was unveiled in the presence of the actresses who sang Witches Road dressed as witches.
Pixar has announced the launch of its first two series. First, Win or Losedue out December 6, which focuses on the young people on a softball team and their parents, then Dream Productionsderived from the films Inside Out. Set between the two parts, the four episodes immerse us in the part of Riley’s brain responsible for her dreams. Each night resembles the production of a live TV show in this series scheduled for 2025.

The crowd gathered at the Honda Center in Anaheim for the D23 entertainment presentation
More than 12,000 people packed the Honda Center in Anaheim for the Disney entertainment segment of the D23 conference Friday night. The largest crowd in the event’s history, the crowd was treated to a three-hour, fast-paced series of announcements and performances hosted by Yvette Nicole Brown.
After a speech by The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger, Auli’i Cravalho, who voices Moana, musicians and dancers took to the stage for a colorful number. Dwayne Johnson, who plays Maui, then joined them.
Lebo M.’s voice rang out in the room for the presentation of Mufasa. He performed the classic of The Lion King, Nants’Ingonyama, as well as the news Ngomso.
The Broadway adaptation of the film The Greatest Showman was announced by a breathtaking performance by six singers.
Finally, illusionist David Blaine, who will star in the show Do Not Attemptfrom National Geographic on Disney+, performed a magic trick with a simple deck of cards that left thousands of viewers speechless.
