A police officer from the BAC (Anti-Crime Brigade) opened fire and killed a man in Bordeaux on Friday, August 9, Radio France learned from the police, confirming information from Valeurs actuelles. The events took place at 7:25 p.m. on Friday. The man killed was threatening the police officers with a knife that he had stolen a little earlier from a grocery store.
The suspect, killed by the police, was in his forties and had a history of psychiatric disorders, the police added. According to the police report, the suspect approached the BAC officer with the knife. The officer’s orders and a shot from an LBD (defense ball launcher) had no effect. The officer then shot the suspect to neutralize him.
