PSG strengthens its defense. A week before the start of Ligue 1, the Parisian club announced on Friday, August 9, the recruitment of Willian Pacho, 22, for five seasons. The central defender, an Ecuadorian international, played until now as a starter at Eintracht Frankfurt and will now wear the number 51 jersey for the Parisian club.

PSG describes it as “one of the great revelations of last season in the Bundesliga”. His arrival should come to fill the recent gaps on the left side of the defense, notably those of Lucas Hernandez, sidelined by a serious injury, and Presnel Kimpembe, whose return is slow. Also candidates for the position, Lucas Beraldo and Milan Skriniar have not totally convinced.

Willian Pacho is the fourth signing of the summer for the Parisian club, after the announced transfers of Gabriel Moscardo and Joao Neves as midfielders as well as goalkeeper Matvey Safonov. According to various media, PSG would have paid nearly 45 million euros for this last announced transfer.
