On Wednesday, August 7, authorities decided to cancel all concerts by American star Taylor Swift in the Austrian capital, due to threats of an attack. Police also reported the arrest of two people, including a 19-year-old man.
Taylor Swift fans are inconsolable. Some learned the news as soon as they got off the plane. Their idol, Taylor Swift, has canceled all of her concerts in Vienna (Austria). “Many gather to mourn”says a young woman. “We’ve been waiting for it for ages, we bought the tickets a year ago. Most of us have been dreaming of seeing it since we were little.”another one is moved.
The organizers made the decision on Wednesday, August 7, after the revelation of a planned attack during the artist’s concert. Two young men aged 17 and 19 were arrested. They are said to have become radicalized online. One is Austrian, the other is from Macedonia. The main suspect was planning a suicide attack. The 170 fans who were supposed to see the star will be reimbursed. No less than 100 million euros in economic benefits were expected.
