CF Montreal announced Wednesday that it has loaned midfielder Rida Zouhir to USL Championship side Birmingham Legion FC for the remainder of the 2024 season.
The 20-year-old Montrealer will be on his second loan in the USL Championship after joining San Antonio FC in April 2023.
In 2024, Zouhir played 171 minutes in seven games, including one start in the MLS regular season.
Since his debut with CF Montreal, he has played 19 games and made three starts, totaling 522 minutes of play.
The midfielder joined the Club’s Academy in 2016 from amateur club CS Braves d’Ahuntsic. He played his first professional minutes on August 8, 2021 against DC United.
His first start came two months later, on October 27 in the semi-final of the Canadian Championship against Forge FC, at the age of 17.
His first MLS start came on March 12, 2022, against New York City FC at Yankee Stadium.
