Israeli reservists denounce blunders

While he was on the front lines just a few months ago, an Israeli army reservist is now demonstrating for a ceasefire in Gaza and refusing to return to fight. “I was supposed to be there by now. I was called back and I told them I couldn’t continue. My conscience, my heart forbids me.”he explains.

He is not the only one. Another reservist made the same decision. He denounces a vengeful madness, which according to him animates the Israeli soldiers on the ground. “We were leaving a house we had just inspected, the kind of place that could be rebuilt by the Palestinians. We were told to burn it down, we had to burn down all the houses we had visited.”he describes.
