The Paris prosecutor’s office has requested the referral to the assizes of two far-right activists, Loïk Le Priol and Romain Bouvier, suspected of having shot dead the former Argentinian rugby international, Federico Martin Aramburu, in March 2022, after a “manhunt”confirmed his family’s lawyer on Monday, August 5. In its final indictment signed on Friday and consulted on Monday by AFP, the public prosecutor is asking that the two men be tried for murder.
He also requests a trial for complicity in murder against Lyson R., Loïk Le Priol’s partner who was present at the time of the events, and for criminal abduction against a 35-year-old man suspected of having helped Romain Bouvier in his escape.
“At the end of an investigation during which the accused tried to shirk their terrible responsibilities, the family of Federico Martin Aramburu is relieved that the Paris prosecutor’s office has given the exact description of the facts of which he was the victim”reacted to the AFP Yann Le Bras, who defends the family of the ex-player.
