(Montreal) A teenager was seriously injured following an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) accident that occurred Sunday evening in the municipality of L’Ascension, in the Laurentians.
Emergency services were called to Ascension Road at around 7pm regarding a mountain bike skidding.
“According to initial information, the driver of the ATV, who was alone on board, left the road and ended up in a ditch. The collision occurred on private land,” said Ève Brochu-Joubert, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The victim reportedly suffered serious injuries. The teenager was taken to hospital, where his life was feared.
An SQ patrol officer trained in collision investigation was to go to the scene to analyze the scene and shed light on this event.
