(Quebec) An unexplained explosion left several dead on Monday morning in a house in Saguenay. Investigators from the Sûreté du Québec were dispatched to the scene to try to shed light on this tragedy.
“I was in my house and around 10 am I heard a boom. I went outside. I had the impression that the neighbor had detonated dynamite, ”says a local resident, Régis Bélanger, still shaken.
Mr. Bélanger knows this neighbor on Dubose Street, in the Arvida sector. He explains that the owner of the house where the explosion occurred had bought it from his father to him.
“It jumped in cursed. It wasn’t a normal jump, ”he said on the phone.
The crime against the person division of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is in charge of the investigation.
“We can confirm deaths. We do not give the number for the moment because we do not know it ”, indicates the spokesperson of the SQ Hugues Beaulieu.
No thesis has been ruled out for the moment, specifies the SQ.
