“Hi, it’s Sarah! What does it say?”

This Saturday, August 3, “Ça dit quoi” looks back at three historic performances from the day before: the French hat-trick on the BMX racing podium, the third individual title of Teddy Riner, the most successful judoka in history, and the fourth title of Léon Marchand, the most successful Frenchman in history in a single edition of the Games.

Friday was also marked by several defeats in the semi-finals. Judoka Romane Dicko, in the over 78 kg category, left with a bronze medal after being beaten by Brazilian Beatriz Souza, table tennis player Felix Lebrun said goodbye to the title after losing 4-0 to Chinese Fan Zhendong, and the men’s épée team lost in the semi-finals to Hungary before being eliminated by the Czech Republic.

An investigation has been opened into cyberbullying of Thomas Jolly, the artistic director of the Olympic opening ceremony. He filed a complaint on Tuesday, July 30, for insults and threats received on social media.
