In the Lachine Rapids with Saute-Moutons

The summer season is in full swing in Montreal, which welcomes approximately 11 million visitors each year. Whether they come from abroad, a neighboring province or even Quebec, many of them take part in guided tours to discover the metropolis. Artisans from “Le Devoir” have also joined in the fun to make you want to (re)discover Montreal from a different perspective.

Thrill seekers, this activity is for you! For over 40 years, Saute-Moutons has been taking intrepid people to the Lachine Rapids for an unforgettable experience… and one that gets you as wet as you want. The first 15 minutes of this boat trip on the St. Lawrence allow tourists and Montrealers alike to enjoy breathtaking views of downtown Montreal. Once you arrive in the rapids—a true aquatic playground—the captain spins the boat around for 30 minutes through the eternal waves. Screams of joy and splashes are guaranteed. These descents—in complete safety—in the level 4 rapids take children and adults on a journey of memorable emotions.

The activity—which costs $60 for children and $70 for adults—ends with a 15-minute ride on the St. Lawrence back to the Old Port… and to dry off in the sun and wind. Bring a swimsuit, towel, and change of clothes for this outing that offers a new perspective on Montreal.
