The main suspect in the investigation opened after Lina’s disappearance was a 43-year-old man. He hanged himself on July 10.
His suicide on July 10 coincides with an acceleration of the investigation into Lina’s disappearance. Samuel G. could be linked to the teenager’s disappearance. The forty-year-old was due to be tried on July 22 for violent robberies committed in August 2023. He was accused of violently assaulting a nonagenarian and holding up a convenience store, threatening to “plant” the cashier with a knife in August 2023. Formerly integrated, the man found himself involved in delinquency. He also spent time in a psychiatric hospital.
This suspect, identified several weeks ago, committed suicide after his car was seized by investigators who were supposed to analyze it. The man, discreet, hardly spoke with his neighbors. The 15-year-old teenager has not given any sign of life since September 23, 2023. That day, she had left the family home in Plaine (Bas-Rhin) and was walking to the Saint-Blaise-la-Roche train station, three kilometers away, to join her boyfriend in Strasbourg.
