A man in his thirties was shot and wounded Tuesday afternoon on Champlain Boulevard in the Verdun borough of Montreal.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., police responded to a call about a man who had been shot on Champlain Street near Stephens Street.
According to initial reports, a conflict broke out between the occupants of two cars and shots were fired.
The victim was hit in the upper body and was taken to hospital, where he is currently in critical condition.
Investigators were dispatched to the scene to understand the circumstances of this event.
