Marine Tondelier was the guest of “Les 4 Vérités” on France 2, Tuesday July 30.

In the second quarter, growth increased by 0.3% in France. This is better than what INSEE had hoped for. “I’m sure the government will find plenty of reasons to be happy, but as for me, you know, as long as there are nine million poor people in this country, I won’t be happy about much.”comments Marine Tondelier, general secretary of the Ecologists, on the set of “4 Vérités”, Tuesday July 30. “I even find it sad that we find reasons to rejoice when this growth benefits fewer and fewer people,” she adds. For her, this growth is “a cover-up”.

She then wonders why Emmanuel Macron asked for the dissolution of the Assembly, “since he explains to us that he cannot appoint a new government because it is the Olympic Games”. “I guess he knew that he had decided not to appoint a new government this summer, so he made us waste a lot of time (…), the French went to vote like never before, in terms of participation. They thought that this ballot would change their lives.”
