A fire broke out this Monday around 1:30 p.m. in the building of the Vial bodywork, chemin de St-Jean, in Hyères. When the firefighters arrive, the fire was widespread. Four people were present at the time of the fire but they are not not hurt indicates the firefighters of the Var.
The damage is however significant : four vehicles burned inside and 90% of the 300m² building was damaged.
The rescue device consisted of 4 fire engines, a large ladder, an ambulance and a command vehicle, i.e. 19 firefighters. If the fire was extinguished at 2:35 p.m., a fire brigade remains on site to monitor and cool a acetylene gas cylinder.
