This Sunday, July 28, the French rugby 7s team is Olympic champion after beating Fiji (28-7) on Saturday evening. This is France’s first gold medal at the Paris 2024 Games, which Antoine Dupont hopes will lead to others. “We were keen to launch the Olympic Games in the best possible way,” explains the technical leader of the Blues.

The next chances for French medals are coming this Sunday in judo, fencing and mountain biking, with even two chances for the title for Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Loana Lecomte. In swimming, the world record holder in the 400m medley, Léon Marchand, enters the competition.
