17-year-old boy stabbed in Pointe-aux-Trembles

A 17-year-old boy was stabbed during the night from Friday to Saturday in Pointe-aux-Trembles after a conflict escalated.

A call related to a person injured by a “sharp object” on the Terrasse Bellerive, near the 94e avenue, was made to 911 around 12:30 a.m., according to Sabrina Gauthier, spokesperson for the Montreal Police Department (SPVM).

After their search, the police finally located the victim, who was moving through the streets. The young man was conscious, but injured in the upper body by an object that the police were unable to identify. His life is not in danger.

According to Sabrina Gauthier, a conflict escalated between two groups of young people. One of them pulled out a “sharp object” and injured the young man.

A perimeter was erected to make way for the SPVM dog handler, but no evidence has been found at the scene at this time.

The investigation is open, and the SPVM is looking for witnesses to the event.
