The DNA of Lina, who disappeared in September 2023 in Bas-Rhin, was discovered in a stolen vehicle which was geolocated “not far from the point where the young woman disappeared” daughter, announced the Strasbourg public prosecutor in a press release on Friday, July 26. This discovery constitutes “a major step forward in the investigation” to locate it, the magistrate said. “Investigations are continuing to determine the circumstances in which she got into the vehicle.”he adds.

The 15-year-old girl disappeared on Saturday, September 23 while she was going to the train station, in the Saint-Blaise-la-Roche area, a small town of about 230 inhabitants in the Bas-Rhin, located about sixty kilometers from Strasbourg. Alerted around 2 p.m. the same day, the gendarmerie launched an appeal for witnesses. An investigation into the worrying disappearance, led by the Saverne public prosecutor’s office, was entrusted to the Strasbourg research section.
