Montreal Fashion Week Returns in September

Montreal Fashion Week returns from September 16 to 22 and will be dedicated to local designers.

Local fashion will be in the spotlight, with Maska, Veinage, Aldo, Eliza Faulkner, Lambert, Les Effrontés, Maison Marie Saint Pierre, Poches & Fils, and many others. Designers, retailers, manufacturers and fashion schools will participate in this event, which will consist of fashion shows, collection launches, workshop visits and conferences.

A few events have been revealed so far: the McCord Stewart Museum will host an evening on September 18th with the theme of the history of our clothes, and participants will be invited to wear a garment that tells a unique story. On September 20th, the Inédition Market will be held, a collective vintage market with Montreal fashion merchants and artists. Then, on September 21, Manik Fashion is organizing a fashion show with DJ in the La Canadienne boutique on Laurier Avenue West.

Montreal Fashion Week is organized by the Metropolitan Fashion Cluster (mmode) and La vie en rose. “Fashion week is a celebration, and it’s the time to showcase all of Quebec’s fashion artisans. A people without clothes is a people without a soul, so let’s encourage local fashion,” said François Roberge, President and CEO of La vie en rose, during the press conference.
