French President Emmanuel Macron will have lunch on Thursday, July 25, at the Elysée Palace with many international CEOs present for the Paris Olympic Games, including Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey. The resigning Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, is not invited, according to information from franceinfo.

In total, around forty VIP guests will be at the Elysée on Thursday at noon. Elon Musk, James Quincey, but also the Indian Lakshmi Mittal and a few French people including Bernard Arnault of LVMH. No announcement is planned at the end of this lunch, but the head of state intends to once again praise the economic attractiveness of France, because, they explain at the Elysée, investors, especially foreign ones, need stability and certainty.

Emmanuel Macron’s objective is therefore to maintain the bond of trust established over the years with some of the major American, European and even Indian bosses, while taking advantage of the positive momentum of the Paris 2024 Games. As for the political context, the Elysée notes that none of the 56 projects announced at the Choose France summit last May, for an amount of 15 billion euros, have been called into question since the dissolution of the National Assembly.
