It is “no coincidence” that Celine Dion is in Paris shortly before the opening of the Olympic Games

The presence of Celine Dion in the French capital a few days before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games is “not a coincidence”, acknowledged the French Minister of Sports and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra.

She made these comments on Wednesday, in an interview on the French network TF1, while speculation is rife about the presence of the Quebec diva in Paris.

“You saw that she was in Paris, it’s not a coincidence,” said M.me Oudéa-Castéra, all smiles, on the set of the show Good morning, morning.

“Now there are a multitude of possible roles in an opening ceremony,” she added.

Asked to clarify her thoughts on this last sentence, she refused “to go further in the comments”, adding that “the element of surprise was crucial”.

The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics will take place on Friday.

Images circulated on social media on Tuesday showing the singer walking the streets of the French capital, meeting her fans.

The American network TMZ reported on Tuesday that the Quebec singer would participate in the opening ceremony to perform a song.

For her part, the main interested party documented her trip to Paris on Wednesday with photos of her visit to the Louvre Museum.

“Every time I come back to Paris, it reminds me [qu’il] “There is so much joy and beauty to see in the world,” she wrote on the social network Instagram.

“I love Paris and am so happy to be back. Thank you to my wonderful interlocutors at the Louvre!”
