The Russian army claimed, on Sunday, July 21, the capture of two small towns in eastern Ukraine, continuing to gain ground in certain parts of the front despite heavy losses, in the face of fewer Ukrainian forces.
“Units of the ‘West’ group liberated the localities of Rozovka [Andriïevka en ukrainien] and Peschanoya Nizhnyaya [Pichtchané en ukrainien]”, the Russian Defense Ministry said in its daily briefing. These small towns, very sparsely populated before the large-scale Russian attack in February 2022, are located in the Luhansk and Kharkiv regions, respectively, about fifteen kilometers from each other.
