All the lights are green. The French team secured another convincing victory against Japan (75-62), for its fourth and penultimate preparation match for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Friday July 19 at the Arena in Reims. After two lessons inflicted on Finland (129-50 and 117-59) then a large victory against Serbia (85-63), the Blues continue their flawless run one week before the start of the Olympic Games.

The French team took the lead from the start of the first quarter, never to let the Japanese come back into the game. Led by their key players, the Bleues played to their strengths: Marine Johannès shone on three-pointers and second balls (14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists), well supported by Gabby Williams (14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists).

Dominant in the racket, Jean-Aimé Toupane’s players took advantage of their size advantage, dominating the fast play of the Tokyo 2021 Olympic vice-champions. Before their entry into the competition in Paris on the 29th July against Canada (5:15 p.m.), the French will face China for a final preparation meeting on Sunday July 21 (7:00 p.m.), still at the Reims Arena.
