The Orléans Court of Appeal has suspended the decision of the Tours Commercial Court for the compulsory liquidation of Tours FC, Richard Plantureux, the club’s deputy chairman, confirmed to France Bleu Touraine on Friday, July 19. The hearing took place on Tuesday and the Court of Appeal notified the lawyer of Jean-Marc Ettori, the club’s chairman, on Friday that it was suspending the compulsory liquidation, pronounced by the Tours Commercial Court on June 25, for two to three months.

Jean-Marc Ettori, the president of Tours FC, must now prove that his professional sports limited company is not insolvent. “We spent a lot of time on it, even if nothing has been won, it’s a huge relief”confided the club’s deputy president, Richard Plantureux, to France Bleu Touraine.

He counts “to resume the management that was suspended since the liquidation. We will be able to pay all the creditors, come out of the cessation of payments and create a project that aims to be ambitious by continuing the recovery period for Tours FC”.

However, on the sporting front, the National Management Control Directorate (DNCG) already decided a week ago: depending on the club’s finances, Tours FC will have to play in Regional 1 next season.
