Opening | Fleurimont: a small oasis on Rosemont

Rosemont Boulevard is not the most charming street in Montreal, but the opening of Fleurimont Café & Vin adds some color and, above all, a place to stock up on coffee and even wine.

You can also eat a sandwich or a Cookine biscuit on site, or be tempted by the carrot cake or a draft beer from the Le Ketch microbrewery.

The coffee comes from the Bicocle micro-roaster founded by co-owner Iouri Philippe Paillé. The latter joined forces with those who had the Rosé café before, in the same Fleurimont location, namely Mathieu Maher, Marie-Pier Cousineau and Xavier Bellefeuille. All have embraced the new concept of café, wine shop and micro-bar united in one and the same (small) place, where events such as tastings and clothing sales are also held.

“A place that makes you want to stop there, quite simply,” sums up Iouri, who recalls that Fleurimont is the name that the western segment of Rosemont Boulevard bore until 1961.
