According to Israel, 40,000 Palestinians from the West Bank have entered the Jewish state without permits since October 7 in order to work. An increase in illegal workers that can be explained by a drastic reduction in the number of permits granted.

Palestinians climb over one of the walls separating the West Bank from Israel. They sneak into the Jewish state to work illegally. Sometimes they hide in the raised floor of a truck, or behind the walls of vehicles. The Israeli police make arrests every day, especially on construction sites, where most of these Palestinians work.

According to Israel, 40,000 Palestinians have entered the Hebrew state without permits since the attacks of October 7. 8,000 Palestinian workers hold permits. Before October 7, 130,000 workers had the precious sesame. This drastic decrease explains the increase in illegal immigrants. In the West Bank, Palestinians describe well-established methods of illegal exit. An Israeli network providing fake Palestinian permits was dismantled this year, but the authorities communicate little about this corruption.
