“As of tomorrow, pharmacy distributors will receive three million rapid tests which will be instantly deployed at the level of pharmacies in Quebec for distribution that can begin on Tuesday,” confirms Hugues Mousseau, general manager of the Association québécoise des pharmacy distributors, interviewed at LCN.
Distributors were impatient to receive these new tests since no new arrivals have been made since New Year’s Day, according to Mr. Mousseau.
He adds that supplies should be more regular in the coming weeks.
“This is what we hope”, launches the general manager.
Despite this good news, Hugues Mousseau admits that these three million rapid tests will not be enough.
“We would need tens of millions of federal rapid tests to be able to meet the needs of the population as a whole,” he argues.
Mr. Mousseau invites Quebecers to contact their pharmacy to find out how they will distribute these new rapid tests.
