Nineteen years after the disappearance of little Estelle Mouzin, not far from her home in Guermantes (Seine-et-Marne), a center devoted to unresolved cases could see the light of day.
Saturday January 8, about fifty relatives of Estelle Mouzin marched in her memory, for the 19th anniversary of her disappearance. Recent searches for the girl’s body have not been conclusive, and Sabine Khéris, the examining magistrate who relaunched the case two years ago, has just left her post. These two elements are enough to arouse the concern of Eric Mouzin, the father of the missing little girl.
In reality, it is possible that Sabine Khéris has left her post to join a new pole for old unresolved cases. This type of unit would be unprecedented in France. For the time being, more than 300 cases remain unsolved, including the Grégory affair, the disappearance of Paquita Parra, as well as that of Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès. Several magistrates specializing in this type of case could form a national pole, or several regional poles. “Why not a national pole, but that will be totally insufficient“, deplores Céline Parisot, president of the Special Union of Magistrates.
