Ten days before the Games, on Tuesday July 16, the capital will discover the Olympic sites, which were built thanks to more than 2,000 French companies.

Unlike the athletes, the blue pontoons installed last summer on the Seine did not travel hundreds of kilometers to arrive in France. They were manufactured in these workshops in the Paris region. Vivien Hurdebourcq, Hansen Marine’s site manager, is in charge of all the contracts for the Paris Olympic Games. In total, the company received 3.8 million euros in orders and its turnover doubled. The workforce was also doubled with 14 new employees hired.

To meet the challenges of the Games, the company built a new building. “We have completely restructured the company”explains Hansen Marine manager Alain Ferrand. The completed gangways are stored before the blue carpet in the colour of the Games is installed. The bet has paid off for this small French company, now known internationally. Its order book is full for the coming months.
