Teen Victim | Pimp ‘Dr Love’ Pleads Guilty

Recruited from high school, a 15-year-old girl was forced to prostitute herself for months for the benefit of her pimps, including one named “Dr. Love.” Two pimps and an accomplice admitted their guilt on Monday and now face prison.

Renzo Lopez Pacheco, alias “Nino” and Almaguer Diosmany Lores, alias “Dr. Love,” chose Monday to cut short their trial that was set to begin at the Montreal courthouse. The 32-year-old men pleaded guilty to three counts related to pimping an adult, despite the victim’s age.

Their accomplice, Lysa Witzil Poupart, a 29-year-old woman nicknamed “Maya,” pleaded guilty to a single count related to advertising sexual services.

Mila* was 15 when a high school friend introduced her to her pimp, Renzo Lopez Pacheco, in the spring of 2018. Mila immediately began “working” for him as well. It was co-accused Lysa Witzil Poupart who introduced her to the rules of prostitution. Mila received her clients at the Chomedey Inn in Laval and in an apartment in downtown Montreal.

Renzo Lopez Pacheco, aka “Nino,” sets the rates: $140 for a half hour and about $200 for an hour. If the “client” wants a kiss, it’s $60 more. “Nino” takes care of the clients, while “Maya” prepares the ads. Mila hands them her winnings, but gets a cut.

Up to 10 customers under duress

A few months later, Mila began working for Almaguer Diosmany Lores, alias “Dr. Love.” She was 16 at the time. The facts presented in court do not allow us to understand the reason for this change of pimp. In any case, Mila continued to prostitute herself at the same hotel in Laval or at “Dr. Love’s.”

” At a party, [Mila] relates having made 10 clients under the constraint of Dr Love. [Mila] fears that Dr Love will physically attack her if she stops doing clients,” states the summary of facts, read by Crown prosecutor Me Ann Marie Prince.

Almaguer Diosmany Lores makes most of the money. On average, Mila gets about seven “clients” a night, and sometimes more. She says she’s earned $1,000 to $2,000 on some lucrative nights.

Mila manages to escape her pimp’s clutches one evening in October 2018. When “Dr. Love” refuses to drive her home and forces her to continue working, the teenager threatens to call the police. She never sees him again.

The two pimps were initially charged with human trafficking of a minor, a very serious charge. However, this charge was withdrawn by the Crown at the preliminary inquiry.

The parties intend to submit a joint suggestion of a custodial sentence for the two men.

The agreement is the result of a “long, long, long negotiation,” Mr.e Ludovic Dufour, Mr. Lores’ lawyer. “The victim never had to testify,” he added. In the meantime, Almaguer Diosmany Lores remains free. He has moved to a “less hot” environment with his family and has respected all his conditions of release, Mr.e From the oven.

The case will return next September before Judge Thierry Nadon for sentencing.
