Vehicles set on fire in the Saint-Laurent district

Around ten vehicles were set on fire during the night from Sunday to Monday in the parking lot of a business in the borough of Saint-Laurent.


At around 3:45 a.m., the City of Montreal Fire Department (SIM) received a call about the blaze raging on Chemin Saint-François and Rue Donahue.

The investigation was transferred to the Montreal Police Department (SPVM) around 5 a.m. According to Anthony Dorelas, spokesperson for the Montreal police force, the cause remains undetermined for the moment and no trace of accelerant was found at the scene.

The investigation will continue Monday morning, when investigators from the SPVM arson section will go to the scene.
