“We note that no name has reached consensus among us at this stage” for the post of Prime Minister, the Socialist Party told franceinfo on Saturday, while the name of Huguette Bello, proposed by the PCF, was put forward for Matignon.
“The Socialist Party is determined to find a name that will achieve consensus to become the Prime Minister of the New Popular Front who will be proposed to the President of the Republic,” indicates Pierre Jouvet, the general secretary of the PS.
“Consensus is a method that takes time and that’s normal,” he adds“We will work with all of our partners until July 18 to achieve this. We will live up to the expectations of the French people.”
