Three people were taken into custody after the death of a 14-month-old baby on Thursday in La Ferté-Macé, in Orne, France Bleu Normandie (Calvados-Orne) learned from the police. Among them are the little girl’s mother and two other people belonging to the family sphere.
On Thursday, the baby’s body was found at the home of his mother’s partner. Significant resources were deployed, including the intervention of a forensic doctor and a criminal identification unit. The Domfront-en-Poiraie research brigade was called in to conduct the investigation.
According to the police, the causes of death could not be determined and all hypotheses are being considered. An autopsy is to be carried out in Caen on Monday.
