The question of the 2025 budget worries many economists. To be fixed, the finance bill is prepared in the spring by the government, then submitted to the National Assembly and the Senate. The discussions are often marked by intense debates. But with an Assembly without a clear majority after the early legislative elections, many fear a blockage of votes. “To the extent that as long as we do not have a majority at the level of the Prime Minister and the National Assembly, we risk having blockages in terms of votes on this budget”declared economist Michel Rulmy on the franceinfo set.

The 2025 budget will not be the same depending on whether the majority is formed in the center or around the New Popular Front.
