(New York) The American bank JPMorgan Chase on Friday published a net profit up 25% in the second quarter, benefiting from an exceptional gain of nearly 8 billion dollars, but it made a marked increase in provisions for doubtful debts.
The bank posted revenues of $50.99 billion (+20%), and net income of $18.1 billion. While the bank benefited from a gain from a transaction with the Visa card issuer, it also increased its provisions for doubtful debts, especially for its personal lines.
