A four-year-old child drowned in the swimming pool of a campsite in Saint-Brévin-les-Pins (Loire-Atlantique) on Wednesday, France Bleu Loire Océan learned on Thursday July 11 from the department’s firefighters, confirming information from Actu.fr.

Around 4:30 p.m., while the child was swimming and enjoying the pool slide, he escaped his parents’ vigilance for a few seconds and drowned.

The lifeguard first tried to give him first aid. Then the Loire-Atlantique fire brigade mobilised around ten firefighters who then took over to try to resuscitate the boy. “He was unfortunately declared deceased.”the emergency services complained to France Bleu Loire Océan. The parents, who were very shocked, were taken care of by a medical-psychological support unit.
