Thibaut Bruttin appointed new general director of the NGO

Thibaut Bruttin has been appointed by the board of directors of Reporters Without Borders (RSF), which met on Tuesday July 9, as the new director general of the NGO defending press freedom, franceinfo learned from its president, Pierre Haski, confirming information from the newspaper Le Monde.

Until now the association’s number 2, deputy to the general director, Thibaut Bruttin, 37, had already been acting in the position since April, and is now officially taking over from Christophe Deloire, who died on June 8. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris in 2010, he joined Reporters Without Borders in 2014 and became its deputy to the general director in 2021.
