Can Daniil Medvedev worry Jannik Sinner? By taking advantage of Grigor Dimitrov’s retirement in the first set of the match between them, the Russian made it to the quarter-finals after spending only 34 minutes on the court. He will face world number 1 Jannik Sinner for a place in the last four. The other big favourite, defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, will face American Tommy Paul, who has been good on the London grass, having won the Queen’s tournament.

In the women’s draw, the surprising New Zealander Lulu Sun (123rd), who went through the qualifications and beat the British Emma Raducanu in the round of 16, will face the Croatian Donna Vekic (37th) in the quarter-finals. Recent finalist at Roland-Garros, the Italian Jasmine Paolini (7th) is continuing her dream season, and will meet the American Emma Navarro (17th) for a place in the last four.
