In Terrebonne, a major accident involving at least two cars and two heavy vehicles resulted in the closure of Highway 640, eastbound, during rush hour.
The accident occurred at the height of the Montée des Pionniers, early in the afternoon. Emergency services were called at around 1:30 p.m.
According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), at least three people were taken to hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time. SQ officers specializing in collision investigations were dispatched to the scene to better understand the circumstances of the accident.
Highway 640 is closed eastbound for an indefinite period.
