Sexual assault of a teenager | Two and a half years in prison for the former players of the Victoriaville Tigres

Former Victoriaville Tigres players Nicolas Daigle and Massimo Siciliano were sentenced to 32 and 30 months in prison for sexually assaulting a teenage girl in a Quebec City hotel in June 2021, following their victory in the QMJHL President’s Cup final.

Their sentences were handed down Monday at the Quebec courthouse.

The two young men, now 21, pleaded guilty last October.

They had thus avoided holding a trial, which was to last 11 days and during which the general manager of the Victoriaville Tigers was to testify.

Nicolas Daigle had pleaded guilty to counts of sexual assault, producing a video recording without the victim’s knowledge and showing the images. Massimo Siciliano, for his part, admitted his guilt to only one count, sexual assault.

More details to come.
