Following the results of the second round of legislative elections on Sunday July 7, there are many divisions within the New Popular Front over the designation of the candidate for Matignon.
Leading the legislative elections, but everything remains to be done. On Sunday, the rebels, the socialists, the ecologists and the communists celebrated the results separately. Has the left chased away the demons? The voters of the New Popular Front met in Paris do not want division. “Voters expect a program with ideas. The communists, the rebels, the socialists and the greens do not always get along. They are not intended to marry, but they are capable of getting along, I hope.”sums up a passerby.
The same expectation of unity in the Toulouse region (Haute-Garonne). The socialists came out on top in the pink city. “You have to be able to talk, to listen to everyone’s ideas a little bit,” explains a resident. The success is unexpected for the left, but the step remains high to convert a first place into a government majority. The New Popular Front obtains the most seats, ahead of Ensemble!, the presidential camp. The National Rally and its allies come third.
