Eight injured in collision between two trams in Val-de-Marne

Two trams collided on Friday morning, July 5, on line T9, in Orly (Val-de-Marne), at the Les Saules stop, France Bleu Paris learned from the emergency services. A tram was stopping when a second tram, which was moving, crashed into it, around 8:50 a.m.

The firefighters’ report states that eight people were slightly injured, including two children. The injuries were mainly bruises and came from falls, which followed the impact between the two trams. All the injured were taken to nearby hospitals. A total of 30 firefighters intervened, with 10 vehicles mobilized, including eight ambulances.

According to the Île-de-France Mobilités traffic information, traffic is gradually resuming, but the terminus is at the Christophe Colomb stop, the one before Les Saules, where the accident took place. Replacement buses are being put in place to complete the journey.
