(Las Vegas) Montrealer Quincy Guerrier earned his spot among the Toronto Raptors’ 16-player roster for the NBA Summer League on Sunday.
Guerrier, 25, played five seasons in the NCAA: two with Syracuse, two with the University of Oregon, then the last campaign with the University of Illinois.
Last season, the six-foot-eight, 225-pound athlete averaged 9.6 points per game in 38 games.
Throughout his college career, his three-point shooting percentage has been on the rise each season. He shot 37.4 percent last season.
Last year’s first-round pick Gradey Dick is also on the team, as are Ochai Agbaji and the club’s picks this year, Ja’Kobe Walter and Jonathan Mogbo.
The coach will be Jama Mahlalela, an assistant with the Raptors.
Toronto will play on July 13 against OKC, the following day against the Nuggets, on July 17 against Utah and on July 19 against Miami.
Depending on its performance, the club will then play at least one more match, between July 20 and 22.
