Voters in some overseas territories were the first to go to the polls for the early legislative elections on Saturday, July 6, in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Martin, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana and French Polynesia, with voting beginning on Saturday, July 6. In Réunion, Mayotte and New Caledonia, voting will take place on Sunday, as in mainland France.

In Guadeloupe

For this second round of legislative elections, 24.67% Guadeloupean voters went to the polls, a figure down from the previous election in 2022 (28.23%), according to the results published by the prefecture.

  • In the 1st constituency, the outgoing deputy Olivier Serva (various left) was largely re-elected, with 77.59% of the vote, against Chantal Lerus (various left, 22.41%).
  • In the 2nd constituency, The outgoing MP Christian Baptiste (various left) won the election with 72.38% of the vote, against Laurent Petit (National Rally, 27.62%).
  • In the 3rd constituency, Max Mathiasin (various left) was also re-elected with 69.15% of the vote, against 30.85% for Rody Tolassy (RN).
  • In the 4th constituency, Socialist Elie Califer retained his seat with 71.09% of the vote, ahead of Jennifer Linon (various centre, 28.90%).

In Martinique

Participation remained low, with 32.44% of voters at the meeting, despite a clear increase compared to 2022 (25.71%), according to the prefecture of Martinique.

  • In the 1st constituency, Jiovanny William (regionalist) won with 81.97% of the vote, beating Philippe Edmond-Mariette (regionalist), who only obtained 18.03% of the vote. The two lawyers from the Fort-de-France bar were replaying their confrontation from 2022.
  • In the 2nd constituency, Marcellin Nadeau (regionalist) retains his seat with 65.68% of the votes, against Yan Monplaisir (various right), who received 34.32% of votes.
  • In the 3rd constituency, Béatrice Bellay (PS) is elected with 54.53% of the vote, beating the outgoing MP, Johnny Hajjar (various left), who obtained 45.47% voices.
  • In the 4th constituency, Jean-Philippe Nilor (regionalist) wins by a landslide with 86.58% of the votes, ahead of Grégory Michel Roy-Larentry (RN) who obtained 13.42% of votes.

In Guyana

  • In the 1st constituency, Jean-Victor Castor (regionalist) wins with 76.11% of the votes, against Boris Chong Sit (various right), who obtained 23.89% of the votes, according to estimates from the France Télévisions elections unit, present on site.
  • In the 2nd constituency, the outgoing deputy Davy Rimane (regionalist) is re-elected with 100% of the votes cast, according to estimates from the France Télévisions elections unit, present on site. Supported by the New Popular Front, he was the only candidate in the second round after his opponent from the various centres withdrew and an appeal from a third candidate from the various centres was rejected. Davy Rimane had obtained 60.21% of the votes in the first round, but the turnout was too low (28.92%) to validate his election.

In Mayotte

  • In the 1st constituency, Estelle Youssouffa (various right) was re-elected in the first round with 79.48% of the vote, far ahead of Saïd Kambi (various right) who obtained 14.64% of the vote.

  • In the 1st constituencythe right-wing autonomist candidate Moerani Frébault beat the outgoing pro-independence MP Tematai Le Gayic in the first round, with 53.85% of the vote, against 35.72% for his main opponent.
  • In the 2nd constituency, The right-wing autonomist candidate Nicole Sanquer was elected with 55.88% of the vote, compared to 44.12% for the outgoing NFP deputy Steve Chailloux, according to estimates from the France Télévisions elections unit, present on site.

  • In the 3rd constituency, The outgoing pro-independence MP Mereana Reid Arbelot, supported by the New Popular Front, retained her seat with 50.87% of the vote, ahead of the wife of former President Gaston Flosse, Pascale Haiti-Flosse (various right), who obtained 49.13% of the vote, according to estimates from the France Télévisions elections unit, present on site.
